At the annual YMCA Giving Gala, there comes a point in the night when guests are asked to raise their paddles and make donations to the YMCA’s scholarship fund. The videos below were produced to give guests greater insight into the Y’s mission and show how their contributions will have an impact.
Giving Gala 2018
These three videos, shown throughout the course of the 2018 Giving Gala, inspired guests to contribute $50,000 to the Y’s scholarship program, making it the most successful “Raise the Paddle” in the event’s 11-year history.
Raise the Paddle 2017
This five-minute video introduced Giving Gala guests to YMCA scholarship recipients from three different service areas. After hearing these personal stories, Gala guests donated more than $38,000 to the Y’s scholarship program.
